The London Bluesfest is proud to announce a new venue with bigger musical legends headlining a festival packed with the best of blues and classic rock.   The festival will open Friday August 25 at Harris Park in London, Ontario and will run through Sunday August 27, 2017.    Headliners will include The Wallflowers, led by Jakob Dylan and guitarist Tobi Miller, with Blood Sweat & Tears (Aug 25),  The Burton Cummings Band, and five-time Grammy award winners The Robert Cray Band (Aug 26).  The Rock Pack headlines Sunday August 26th, featuring the original lead vocalists of legendary classic rock bands including, Bobby Kimball (Toto), Lou Graham (Foreigner) and John Payne (Asia).  Sunday will also feature the Pat Travers Band, Sons of Rhythm, and Wild T & The Spirit.

Tickets go on sale to the public at 10am on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at , by phone at 1-866-455-2849 or in person at the Courtesy Ford Box Office at Budweiser Gardens (Gate 1).

The London Bluesfest is very appreciative of the generous support from the province of Ontario’s Celebrate Ontario program, which has enabled this festival to grow substantially in 2017.

A world class blues lineup will feature the Pat Travers Band, Molly Hatchet, Rick Derringer, Anthony Gomes, Sons of Rhythm, Scott Holt, Wild T & The Spirit, Zed Head, London’s Bill Durst, and local rockers Bobnoxious.

Additional local acts will be announced in the coming weeks for a second stage.

The 2017 Bluesfest 3-day festival will be in support of RockinWheel for Spinal Cord research.  RockinWheel was created to raise money for Spinal Cord research, support those affected by this injury, and provide an outreach program to try and educate young people about preventing these injuries.

RockinWheel president, Ken Allore was a talented young hockey player when he was checked from behind in a hockey game and his life was changed forever. He went from being an active athlete to being a quadriplegic. In 2004 Ken dedicated himself to becoming part of the solution and started the RockinWheel festivals.

“RockinWheel is very excited and honoured to be a part of this year's London Bluesfest. We are partnering with the Bluesfest family and are striving to make it an institution within the London music scene,” said Ken Allore, president of RockinWheel.

RockinWheel has partnered with “Stop Concussions” and “Shoot for a Cure” and Allore has spoken to thousands of young people about the tragic and needless injuries caused by checking from behind in hockey.

Additional local greats will be announced in the coming weeks to play on a second festival stage and details on the 2017 “Eight Bar Blues” program, which will integrate the London Bluesfest at bars within the downtown core.

Stay tuned to for additional acts to be announced, including ticketing, schedule, sponsorship and volunteer information.
